Dolphin Days

October 29, 2026

Monday, November 2 Winter Uniform begins.

Dear Most Blessed Sacrament Families,

As a Catholic school community, we are blessed with the opportunity each day to help our students grow not only academically, but also in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Our mission at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School is rooted in developing the whole child through faith, knowledge, service, and love. Through daily prayer, religion instruction, participation in the sacraments, service opportunities, and the example of our dedicated faculty and staff, we strive to strengthen each student's Catholic identity and help them live out the values of the Gospel both in and beyond the classroom.

Beginning the week of November 2, we will start our second round of Renaissance testing. We use these assessment results to better understand each student's individual strengths and areas for growth so that we can thoughtfully plan instruction that best meets their needs. It is important that our students give their very best effort during testing so that we have a true picture of each learner's progress and can continue supporting their academic success.

We are very excited for our Spirit Day and Halloween Parade on Friday, October 30. These traditions bring joy, school spirit, and a sense of community to our school family. We wish all of our students and families a fun, safe, and happy Halloween weekend.

Thank you for your continued support of our students, faculty, staff, and school. Your partnership is essential to the success of our mission, and we are grateful for the trust you place in us each day. As always, my door is open. I am available to conference, listen, and work together to ensure the continued success and well-being of every child at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School.

May God continue to bless you and your families.

In Christ,

Mr. David P. Stofa

Principal

Counseling Corner

4th & 5th Grade

As part of the Diocese of Wilmington's, For the Sake of God's Children curriculum, our 5th and 6th graders learned how to distinguish between good secrets and bad secrets. Through discussion and real-life scenarios, they practiced recognizing when a secret should be shared with a trusted adult and examined the possible outcomes of both telling and keeping secrets.

6th Grade

Our 6th grade students participated in a learning style assessment to better understand how they learn. They discussed ways to personalize their study activities based on their results, which can help improve understanding, retention, and test performance. Most importantly, students need to schedule time for study and review classwork daily to mitigate the stress of “cramming” the night before a test.

Parents

CHADD of Delaware (chapter 550) was born out of recognition of the need for ADHD support programming for parents, children, teens, and adults with ADHD in the State of Delaware. There will be a community series of presentations available virtually on Zoom. The next presentation on November 3rd is called Medication 101, hear from experts about medication facts, figures, side effects, and best practices. You can access the Zoom presentation on the website www.chadd.net/550 and click on “events”.

A Season for All Ages

Halloween reminds us that wonder, creativity, and playfulness don't have expiration dates. As mental health professionals, we see every day how adults struggle with stress, anxiety, and the weight of constant responsibilities. Halloween offers a sanctioned opportunity to put those burdens down, even if just for an evening, and reconnect with the joy and imagination that make us human. This October, we encourage you to embrace the magic of the season. Put on that costume, hang those decorations, and let yourself play. Your mental health will thank you.
